Terms of Service

1. What Task Hero does

Task Hero is a marketplace that connects people who need a task done (“owners”) with people who offer to do it (“helpers”). Task Hero provides listing, search, offers, messaging, payment, and review tools. The owner and helper agree on the scope, timing, price, and performance of each task with each other. Helpers are independent users, not Task Hero employees.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement. Sign in with your own Google account, provide accurate profile information, and keep access to your account secure. Do not impersonate someone else or use another person's payment or identity details. You are responsible for activity on your account until you notify us of unauthorized use.

3. Tasks, offers, and direct requests

Owners should describe the work, location, timing, and any important conditions accurately. Helpers should offer only work they can lawfully and competently perform. An open task may receive multiple offers; the owner chooses which offer to accept. A direct request through Find Help Now goes only to the selected helper, who may confirm, suggest another price, or decline. Acceptance alone does not mean payment has been made. Keep task details and changes in the app so both parties can refer to them.

4. Prices and payment

The agreed task price and a breakdown of platform fee, payment gateway charge, applicable GST, and helper payout are shown before payment. The owner pays through the supported checkout after accepting an offer. Task Hero records a captured payment as held in the app until the owner approves completion. This is a platform payment state, not a separate bank escrow account. Work should not start until the task shows payment as secured.

Payment processing is provided by Razorpay. Its checkout and payment services may have separate terms. Never share a UPI PIN, OTP, or card security code in Task Hero chat.

5. Completion and helper earnings

The helper marks work complete and the owner reviews it. Owner approval releases the recorded net helper amount to the helper's Task Hero earnings wallet. A wallet credit is not an immediate bank transfer. Helpers may request withdrawal to a verified UPI ID; withdrawal requests are processed manually, subject to payment checks and availability. The app shows the amount and status of each request.

6. Cancellations, problems, and refunds

If a task cannot go ahead, tell the other party promptly and contact Help, especially after payment. Task Hero does not currently provide an automatic post-payment cancellation or refund workflow. We may review the task and payment records and help the parties work toward a resolution. Any refund or chargeback remains subject to the payment provider, applicable law, and the facts of the transaction. Do not use owner approval to indicate work is complete if a material issue remains unresolved.

7. Verification, badges, and reviews

UPI verification checks ownership of a payout account. An “Identity verified” status appears only when the applicable identity check is complete. Adding a service category does not verify the skill. Skill Verified and Task Hero Pro cannot currently be earned. Badges, ratings, and reviews provide context, not a guarantee of a person's qualifications, conduct, or work. Reviews must reflect a real completed task and your honest experience.

8. Safe and lawful use

Do not post or accept illegal, dangerous, discriminatory, exploitative, or fraudulent work. Do not harass others, share private information without permission, misuse payment tools, move an in-app payment off platform to avoid charges, or manipulate offers and reviews. You are responsible for any licence, qualification, permit, insurance, or tax obligation that applies to your work. Exercise normal care when meeting or working with another user.

9. Content and availability

You keep ownership of text and images you submit. You allow Task Hero to store and display that content as needed to run the service, such as showing a task to eligible helpers or displaying a review. You must have the right to share it. We may remove content or suspend an account that violates these terms or threatens users or the service. We work to keep Task Hero available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or the quality, safety, or outcome of a task.

10. Account closure and changes

You can request account deletion from Profile. Active tasks and earnings balances must be resolved first. Account details are anonymized; transaction, task, payment, message, and review records may remain where needed for the other party's records, legal duties, security, and disputes, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version and effective date will appear here; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, subject to applicable law.
